Air New Zealand has launched one of the largest customer repatriations in its history after relocating 9,000 customers affected by Auckland’s extreme weather and airport closure. Leanne Geraghty, Air New Zealand’s Chief Customer and Sales Officer, confirmed that the call center team has been realigned to allow for faster processing of rebookings. Enormously heavy rainfall has meant that New Zealand’s Auckland Airport had to be temporarily closed from Friday. Auckland Airport has since reopened.
