Condor and WestJet have launched a new codeshare agreement that now allows passengers to book flights between Germany and Canada under the code of the respective airline. This partnership is intended to make booking and travel easier for business and leisure travelers.
For over a decade, Condor and WestJet have been offering their passengers convenient connecting flights throughout Canada. Using the modern and environmentally friendly A330neo, Condor has been flying nonstop to WestJet’s hub in Calgary since the summer.
The new codeshare agreement allows passengers to book tickets through both Condor.com and Westjet.com and add additional services regardless of the ticket issued. Passengers can now also go directly to the gate for their connecting flight at an increasing number of Canadian airports after passport control without having to collect their luggage and go through customs again.
Condor passengers benefit from seamless codeshare connections from Frankfurt via Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Halifax to all destinations in WestJet’s extensive Canadian route network. In the future, there are plans to expand the codeshare to include further connections from Canada to the USA, subject to official approvals.
John Weatherill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer of the WestJet Group, emphasized the benefits of the partnership for passengers of both airlines and is looking forward to the opportunity to welcome these summer guests from Canada to Germany.
