The low-cost airline Eurowings has reacted to the long waiting times that customers sometimes have to endure when contacting the hotline. The fee-based premium numbers have been replaced by normal landline numbers. This applies at least to Germany.
Passengers can now reach the carrier by calling +49221/59988298. The number +49221/59988225 applies to travel agencies and agencies. Some time ago, the European Union decreed that airlines must provide a telephone number, which can be reached at normal landline rates or, alternatively, toll-free, for service requests on existing bookings. For new bookings and interested parties there may continue to be chargeable hotlines. Unfortunately, not all providers comply with the regulation.
