The airport was awarded the coveted European Routes Award in the “Airports under 5 million passengers” category. The awards ceremony took place on April 23, 2024 and recognized the airport’s outstanding achievements in the areas of airline acquisition and customer service.
The airport received top marks not only from experts, but also from passengers. In a recently published ranking, Nuremberg Airport was voted the best airport in Germany and one of the most popular in Europe. The rating portal HolidayCheck analyzes data from 1.48 million reviews on Google and Flightradar24. Nuremberg Airport occupies a place among the top 10 in Europe and even first place in Germany.
Airport managing director Dr. Michael Hupe expressed his delight at the awards: “These recognitions underline our closeness to the airline partners and the passengers, whose wishes our employees fulfill with a lot of commitment and passion.”
