The low-cost airline Easyjet has announced the opening of a new base in Birmingham for March 2024. Three Airbus A320 aircraft are to be stationed on site.
CEO Johan Lundgren said: “Having been serving Birmingham for many years, the decision to open a base now and grow at the airport is a testament to the strong demand we are seeing and the importance of the UK market for. “ our profitable growth“.
The carrier already served major domestic and international routes from Birmingham, including Amsterdam, Geneva, Milan, Naples, Lisbon, Faro and Palma de Mallorca. The addition of more aircraft to the fleet allows easyjet to further expand its route network from Birmingham with new routes for both leisure and business travellers.
