The low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle will reactivate another base in the summer of 2024. This is the Palma de Mallorca location, which was closed a few months before the corona pandemic.
The Norwegian aviation group had, among other things, massively messed up with the long-haul project and the expansion with an offshoot in Argentina. Even before the corona pandemic, the financial situation was massive. In the course of the crisis, they took refuge in insolvency proceedings and survived this to a significantly reduced extent.
In Spain, the bases in Málaga, Barcelona and Alicante have now been reactivated. Those on Palma de Mallorca are to follow in the 2024 summer flight schedule. This is a clear indication that the carrier intends to make competition in the direction of Germany, among other things, in the coming year.
