Air China celebrates ordering 100 range-extended C919 aircraft on the COMAC platform. Deliveries are scheduled to begin this year. According to a stock exchange filing, the order was approved on April 26, 2024 and approved by the board the following day.
Deliveries are planned until 2031. The new aircraft are intended to partially replace older models and contribute to fleet growth. This is expected to result in a net increase in capacity. Financing comes from our own funds, loans and other sources. Air China has already ordered five C919 aircraft, becoming the second major Chinese airline to order a large number of C919s after China Eastern Airlines. The C919 is the best addition to Air China’s Airbus and Boeing fleet.
